ChatGPT: SECU Board's New Secret Weapon in the Technology Wars? SECU Strategic Plan Author?

https://www.conferencesthatwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/DilbertStrategy.pngYou've probably heard that ChatGPT - the large language, artificial intelligence leader - released an updated version of its software at the end of November, 2022. [see news release below]. Folks who have difficulty in writing clear, detailed responses and articulate answers to questions rejoiced. ChatGPT appeared to be their salvation! That SECU would become an early, eager, and devoted adopter of "intelligence artificielle" (excuse my French) should come as no surprise. SECU now proclaims itself the savant of all things "new tech"!

It's hard to believe the launch of the new ChatGPT and the publication of the 2023 SECU Strategic Plan, in the same time frame, is just a coincidence! ChatGPT's "artificial intelligence" is so exceptionally well-suited for the new culture, new direction at SECU! And, the way the 2023 SECU Strategic Plan reads...well here take a look for yourself [link...at NCSECU You Tube]. You won't be surprised that you're among the less tham 1/10th of 1% of SECU members who have wasted invested time in chuckling at "The Plan". But, don't be too harsh; most "strategic plans" are inane - not to be taken seriously except by the artificially intelligent!

'Course it would be difficult to prove that the "SECU Strategic Plan" - and the whole "Fireside Chat" production for that matter - was ghost written by ChatGPT.  Except for two obvious clues:

  1. Clearly, the SECU Board is  not known for its' responsiveness and probably can use all the help it can get.
  2.  The dead give away, that this must be a ChatGPT creation, is the highlighted phrase in the News Release....

 NEWS RELEASE:

ChatGPT[a] is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022. It is built on top of OpenAI's GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 families of large language models (LLMs) and has been fine-tuned (an approach to transfer learning) using both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.

ChatGPT was launched as a prototype on November 30, 2022, and quickly garnered attention for its detailed responses and articulate answers across many domains of knowledge.[3] Its uneven factual accuracy, however, has been identified as a significant drawback.[4] Following the release of ChatGPT, OpenAI's valuation was estimated at US$29 billion in 2023.[5]

ChatGPT was originally released in November 2022 based on GPT-3.5; GPT-4, the newest OpenAI model, was released on March 14, 2023, and is available for ChatGPT Plus users.

Yep, "uneven factual accuracy" is getting to be a drawback in all this, isn't it.

  1. So very concerned over the state of my credit union right now. I have been a member for almost 25 years and was so very happy with SECU. But over the past year I have seen way too many changes for the BAD. My branch is not the same. I can't see the employees I am accustomed to using for my business, even though I know they are still there at the branch. I am waiting longer but seeing staff just sitting in their offices seemingly not busy. I don't understand. What happened? I will never go digital., Never! The elected Board of Directors need to right this wrong, you owe it us, because we voted you into your position of trust at SECU.

  2. I find it very odd that all a sudden this organization who has always claimed People helping People is now pushing a digital agenda. And now possibly using artificial intelligence to do their work with OUR Money. It's all adding up. I would like to know the names of the six Board of Directors who voted in this Big Tech CEO from California. I wasn't impressed with him or Mr. Ayers at the Annual Meeting nor when I watched the Fireside Chat. At this rate I fear what will take place from now until the next Annual Meeting but I will be there for my credit union and NC.
