America’s Biggest Bank Is Growing the Old-Fashioned Way: Branches

[WSJ 2/6/2024] -The bank has opened branches in 25 new states, plus Washington, D.C., since 2018. Its nearly 4,800 locations are in every state in the Lower 48, an achievement it alone has unlocked.

 

✅ “Our approach to expansion is deeply analytical,” Jennifer Piepszak, co-CEO of consumer and community banking at JPMorgan, said at the bank’s investor day last month. “So it is a love affair with branches, just to be totally clear."
