Ms. Moon,I received your email - see below. You stated you appreciated my understanding . . .
I respectfully do not understand. Here are my reasons why I do not understand.
~
In your email you state “the Board is considering other options for
communicating with the broader SECU membership, including making
information regarding potential changes to the Election Policies and
Procedures available following the meetings with the MABs.”
~
Based on the NC Statutes which deal with the administration of State
Chartered Credit Unions, I do not see where your SECU Board members
(11), SECU executive team members (100), SECU Branch Managers (200),
and/or MAB members (3,200) supersede the “broader SECU membership
"(2,000,000+).
~ The number of those persons
you reference in your email who will be introduced and given information
in your 2 WebEx meetings (4,000*) - pales in comparison to the number
of the broader SECU membership which I understand is in excess of
2,000,000 members strong.
* I took the liberty of rounding up
this number - 4,000 - since I’m not certain of the exact number for the
executive team membership, and exact number of the Branch Manager
membership.
I am requesting for you to now please -
1) Share the actual number of MAB members who attend the two WebEx meetings
2) Live Stream the two WebEx meetings like the Annual Meeting or 3) Post immediately recorded videos of the two WebEx meetings on your Website.
Thank you for your close attention,
Dr. Sarah Hawes

Dear Ms. Hawes,
"Thank you for your email
and interest in attending the upcoming Webinar hosted by the SECU Board
of Directors to present potential changes to the Election Policies and
Procedures. The purpose of the Webinar
is to share information with SECU Member Advisory Boards (MAB) prior to
the Board taking action on any proposed changes. More than 3,200 SECU
members volunteer through the MABs and serve as local representatives of
the SECU membership in an advisory function
for SECU and the Board. Since these meetings are intended for the MABs
to learn about the proposed changes and provide input on behalf of
members, they will not be open to others.
The Board is considering
other options for communicating with the broader
SECU membership, including making information regarding potential
changes to the Election Policies and Procedures available following the
meetings with the MABs.
I appreciate your understanding,
Mona"
... are the members being "Moon'ed" again? Let's hope this is just a phase...
