Hey, Here's An Innovative Idea For "This Board" To Consider For SECU Members...

😎 Since "This" Board wants so desperately for SECU to be "Industry Standard"*.... https://secuvote.ey.com/

😎 ... "This" Board  can learn how to provide tax prep services to SECU members at the seminar on September 7, 2023. [Granted the seminar is not in Hawaii or Duck, N.C., but ... !] https://secuvote.ey.com/

...might be funny except for the 100,000 SECU tax prep members who "This" Board  imperially threw under the bus when it canned the tax prep service in 2022!

* "industry standard"- idiom, n., definition: to be neither better nor worse, middle-ish, average, halfway between good and bad, "C-paper"; for synonym see: mediocre. Often used as a substitute for original thought in strategic plans.

  1. Golly! This board is so bad it makes my head hurt. (Along with members pocketbooks!)

  2. LOL...you can't make this stuff up! Now the NCUA is making them look bad! Question is prior to September, 2021- was SECU ever really behind the times? Actually losing their Groove? At or below Industry standard? Can't change the facts no matter how hard you try. Good lesson in common sense for this SECU Board and former CEO Hayes.

  3. this would be funny except it isn't ... moral of this story is this board and it's CEO's don't give a flip about the members/employees/anyone but themselves (I won't even say THEIR members anymore)!

    2. They probably live there. Quite a few of the bigwigs live out of state these days.

  5. Let's be clear and cut to the chase - this board and our "new" CEO need to go!!! Come on members - spread the word and let's overflow the "meeting room" at the Koury Convention Center in October!!!! If we can at a minimum replace 1 board member, that's a start - we have 3 nominees - let's go for it!!!!! Replacing 3 would be a dream!!!

    1. yes replace ALL 3 up for 're-election' ... send a message to the others, "you're next"! The Buck stops here with the members since you can't seem to 'Do the Right Thing'!

    2. Do not forget all Members 16 years of age and up are allowed to vote. Time to remind Ayers and Crew just how well the SECU Word of Mouth marketing works at a cost of $0.00 dollars! Get ready to spread the word all you NC Mommas.

    3. Not 1 seat - all THREE and resignations will happily be accepted for any others who are so inclined. No point dragging this out any longer. These folks have proven themselves unfit to serve the hardworking people of this great state.

  6. Most members don’t or haven’t even asked about the prior tax program…. They’ve moved on. Wasn’t it costing SECU millions to implement and operate taxes alone? Why in the world would they bring that back

    1. Have not talked too much about the tax prep program but this comment is symptomatic of a "canary in the coal mine" danger that SECU employees - legacy or otherwise - are missing at great risk to their future employment. Will try to post this week... as an employee you may not like to hear it, but...
