That old Cooperative Principle of democratic member control is so antiquated - even worse than SECU technology! - hasn't been updated since 1843!
Mr. "Former/Former": "We know there has been some talk about these changes. And, We appreciate that some members and employees have had questions and concerns about our current and future plans." [If you have the stomach to watch the whole video again, here's the link]
Chairman Chris " Mr. No Formal Proposal Proposal" Ayers:"We have been doing an incredible job for the last 85 years [but have looked increasing inept over the last 2!]. But, in order to be successful for the next 85 [except the last 2!], We need to take steps to upgrade..."
✅ And, with the surprise changes in Election Procedures three months ago and now with the "gotcha" June 30 bylaw changes - which alter this year's Annual Meeting format and order of business; we have implemented changes which will move SECU forward into a new era as a...
... seems to be a growing split between "this Board" and the membership - bananas or democracy?

And that has made all the difference."

This was the old SECU "There is a Difference" path the founders took, now "they" travel down the same road as everyone else (industry standard ya know). We have come to a crossroads. The choice is, do we continue down the road of destuction "New/New" or do we take the road that leads to redemtion "Do the Right Thing"? The choice is obvious but it's not easy, It never is.
Seems absolutely impossible for this board, led by Ayers, Garland, and Sanford. Down the road to H for the members.
DeleteIt's what they choose to do. They know exactly what they are doing. They honestly don't care about the members... 'Fleece the Flock' is our new motto!
DeleteRemember, loyalty is a two way street ...
ReplyDeleteSECU under this board is the new de-mock-crazy.
ReplyDeleteCan you give us in detail what needs or can be done ? I am trying to keep up but I get confused with all the changes.
ReplyDeleteThere will be an election in September (absentee voting) running into October (Annual Meeting). The Nominating Committee will re-nominate the 3 Board members whose term are expiring. There will be at least 3 other members that will oppose them as self-nominees. If you believe the credit union is/has been headed down the wrong path vote for the self nominees to begin the process of changing the Board. (And let all of your fellow members know.) The deck is heavily stacked in the incumbents favor, it will take a huge effort to vote them out.
