SECU - Risk-Based Lending: A Two-Story Outhouse...

"It's often with the best intentions that some of the worst work is done." [... like risk-based lending!]

... members in the lower tiers always end up getting dumped on.

  1. SECU is becoming a dump.

  3. I desire to depart, but until then I will speak out against these mgmt decisions that hurt the working people of NC who use SECU as their financial institution believing that these folks cared about their circumstances in life and not as just another number.
I encourage all members to speak out and tell every member you encounter what 'they' are doing.

  4. Always remember, 'There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother'! Lean on him and he will guide you on the right path. He doesn't put a credit score on your worth!

  5. Let’s ask ourselves…would Jesus adopt Risk based lending or give everyone the same rate? He would be against interest all together but that’s another debate. But the answer is obvious.

    1. Leigh Brady should be asked that question at the next annual meeting. Instead of giving an answer like “we need to get our income up.” I think Jesus would subscribe to the people helping people concept instead of helping a certain group of people over the others 🤷🏻‍♀️ we have billions in assets. Let’s help our people. Do the right thing. Not outsourcing jobs so more North Carolina communities can hurt worse.

    2. They have been seduced by the world's lust for power and wealth... they aren't interested in helping those who need help that is clearly evident. These folks don't live a pay check to pay check life so they can't have empathy. They surround themselves with those who think and live exactly like they do... Their mind is like a gated community. SECU has become a victim of its own success and these new leaders think it's because of them... “to whom much is given, much will be required”!

    3. "We need to get our income up."

First step Brady: Follow through with this whole compensation package study and give employees the pay raises and promotions. Put your money where your mouth is. Get our incomes up. Industry standards. All of us are still waiting. You and your top execs got what you wanted. Now give us what we want. Then start running your mouth off and start preaching. You are losing whatever credibility is left as days go by and proving you are indeed an ineffective pathological liar.

Employees have seen nothing. And so have members.

    4. @11:07…”proving you are indeed an ineffective pathological liar.” That really sums up Leigh and her ineptitude. For years she has taken credit for the hard work of others. She has repeatedly lied about other departments. She has run her big mouth to disparage others. She has climbed on the backs of our hardworking, oftentimes financially struggling members to game the RBL system so that her daughter with terrible credit can get the top tier interest rate on a loan. Then she has the blatant audacity to use that example as a pro for RBL, and foolish enough to expect those she told to think that was a “good” thing. She is absolutely clueless and unfit to lead our highly revered credit union.

    6. I’ll admit that I’m a little confused as to all the Christian references in regards to our Credit Union—we are not a religious organization. SECU is for all and I refuse to see it be turned into a fundamentalist organization or our mission twisted in this way. This in turn creates an uncomfortable place for non-Christians to bank. We have members of all faiths and backgrounds coming though our door each day.

    8. 3:06 No, they are correct. Religion, just like national politics, is off point and has no meaningful place in this forum. Let’s keep on topic.

  7. Wonder how many members actually know about RBL vs how used to be with same rates for everyone? It's not like SECU is asking them... and I would go as far as say a lot of folks don't understand cooperatives. They feel getting hammered with interest rates is just the standard way of doing business ... and it is, it's called 'Industry Standard'.
SECU - There was a difference

    1. Exactly what pompous bombastica has been ranting since his buddy Hazy promoted him to be his wingman: That's the cost of doing business.
