  1. I can’t believe it’s been a year and a half without any promotions for our branch & call center employees. I have Senior Tellers applying for Teller Manager positions then get upset when we cannot provide them with a pay increase. What other job in the world involves going up in the ladder, taking on more responsibility, & being told no pay increase? I know who! Only at Gym & Leigh Brady’s SECU! & they want us to recommend this place to work at? I’m not recommending this to the local homeless man on Capital Blvd. Avoid this place like the plague until Leigh, Bombastic & the other bozos are gone.

    1. I would love to see the results of the SECU member survey that the included a link to in the E-Newsletter last month. I would bet they didn’t get the results they were hoping for. Members are fed up with this mismanagement.

    5. @11:33 I couldn’t agree more with your statement. With the prices of everything increasing from groceries, power, auto and home insurance prices in NC, due to allowable increase by the commissioner, with supporting a family, it’s almost living paycheck to paycheck anymore. I’m not real sure how we are not eligible for any salary increases and are paid WAY ABOVE MARKET VALUE. Not sure what that market is and still trying to figure that out. But yet…we didn’t think twice about allowing all those new hires that came in 2 years ago at $250k+. So we at the branch level are the ones paying the price. And not to mention the joke of a phone system we now have for MSS and Departments. This is a total waste of money and makes you wonder what kind of kick back NICE is getting considering Jared worked there and installs it everywhere he goes….. As an employee who’s been here for a long period of time, I would never recommend it to anyone as employment until things change back to the way we used to be.. But maybe that’s what they want, long term to leave so they can get their “yes ma’am yes sirs” employed and play Simon Says.

  7. Given how SECU and LGFCU/Civic FCU are being managed it’s that “artificial” enough as it’s lacking intelligence. Lip service, wasting Members hard earned money and making false promises for a different “better” future? Cannot see why members are still allowing this to happen and in the end remove all that was built.

    1. Only way members are able to stop it is to vote in Board elections. If there is some other way, please inform! There are thousands that would rally round to get rid of the eight remaining traitors to credit union philosophy.

  8. AI takes the people out of “people helping people”. AI literally goes against the SECU values. If there isn’t a human serving them…then what does that mean for our sayings? It’s certainly not the right thing to do by replacing thousands of jobs with AI and it’s certainly not going to be a human helping them….so just throw those sayings in the trashcan I guess? You replace your HUMAN WORKERS, you lose the SOUL of the credit union. BOTTOM LINE

  9. That's EXACTLY what they want, a soulless organization so it's easier to control and manipulate. Employees fighting amongst each other instead of focusing on the real problem... the Board and Management!!
    Members being treated like pawns instead of the Owners of the Credit Union... why do you think they got rid of modules? To get rid of the history ... Trash the Rule of 85 so you don't have long term employees ... etc ... ALL Tyrants behave the same way, read your history books ... LOOK AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2. WE (all members) need to fight back like your credit union's survival depends on it (the one it's suppose to be not the bank masquerading as a CU) ... because IT DOES!!! I know people think I'm too over-the-top, but I'm telling you, we are in a fight for our very financial lives. Should they control our finances we are toast! They will dictate the terms ... $5 to use the ATM (accept for A papers) ... SHOW US YOUR PAPERS!!!
