  2. The career path is a joke. I cannot believe that mess took 2 years to come to fruition. Some of us worked our a$$es off to get where we are now and now the base starting salary is $40k. Why can we not invest in the employees we already have - help build morale by showing some appreciation to "the little people". You know, the employees that are the backbone of SECU. Oh. Wait. We've gotta throw some smoke and mirrors to give the appearance of a "wonderful, competitive " entity. Then we have some salt rubbed in the wound with the BS of titles changing because that change shows how much our membership means to the credit union.( Or whatever crap they said.) They absolutely do NOT give a d@mn about the membership - but you better believe the majority of us "legacy" employees do!

    1. Please be sure your friends and family do too. Start talking now--Don't wait until this fall! It will take a network to change this. There is no surprise element this year and the Leighdership will throw every dollar at their disposal (your money and there is whole lot of it) to remain in charge. It will take a big effort.

  3. I’m starting to think they see us as sub human or something. In reality, they are the soulless ones with no heart. Just a boner for money.

  4. The new "career path" is a slap in the face of SECU employees. It's nothing but a thinly veiled plan to save money by limiting career advancement, reducing the amount of promotions, and cutting out annual raises. The powers that be think branch employees are too stupid to see it for what it is.

    1. The powers that be think branches are a waste of resources.

    2. And its ironic that the branches have been the ones who have been keeping this organization afloat through all the bad decisions at the Executive level over the past three years.

  5. We now live in an era in which SECU has grown into a monster that devours the treasure of its member and treating them as second class citizens and also treats its legacy employees with disdain ... and its new upper mgmt (new/new) as royalty!

  6. In my 20 years with SECU, I did not employee appreciation shown. I read some of these comments and I cringe. Do you really need that monthly breakfast? Funds for morale building?
I do what I was hired to do, my job is taking care of our members.
The reason they have to cut on promotions is due to hiring for all these nonsense positions and consultants.
Give us our old SECU back.

    2. No shortage of promotions at the executive level though....

    3. No. Just let us do what we do best and help our members without our hands tied.

  7. Oh well just saw the $5 million SECU gave to renovations at Dix only $3 million came from foundation and $2 million out of corporate! 😳No wonder my IRA and Money Market are paying way below industry standard!

    2. According to SECU's post on Instagram, the corporate gift was $3 million and the Foundation Gift was $2 million. The SECU Board that established the Foundation did it to put money back in all the communities across the state. NEVER was "corporate" that means MEMBERS money given away by SECU's Board until Jim crooked Hayes came along. There is NO corporation without the members.
