✅ A good creed for SECU?

"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting."

😎 A good creed for LIFE

Why not be that difference?

  2. No longer have any creativity here... dead in water, no new ideas. No new initiatives in 3 years.
Funny, the new/new are still living in the '80's, reward cards! How dumb! New website looks like elementary school class project.
Dullards. Leigh doesn't know what to do.

    1. The new website honestly feels like a downgrade from the old one. I hate it.

    2. Most definitely a downgrade. Hope the person who designed and the one who approved it realize it looks like work by a first grader.

  4. There apparently is a managers offside this week. I came into the office today and the parking lot was like 30% full. Guess that means 70% of the people in Operations are Managers or higher.

Yes, I know that number is hyperbole, but that part of the CU is very top heavy, and it seems they promote one of their own each week.

    1. Don't quite follow this statement. You say you work in an internal department and somehow don't know that the operations centers are mostly empty every day?

    2. I get what they are saying. There were a lot less cars at Operations than usual because everyone in Operations is now a manager or higher. They're all at the manager's meeting.

    3. And by the way there is absolutely not one person at the contact centers or branches that could approve large wires.

    4. They are empty, but the parking lot isn't. Yesterday it was nowhere close to what it normally is. Lots of managers and VPs the ratio to ops employees is insane.

  5. Today they announced the mortgage officers are going back to the branch. But not really

  6. The mortgage officer meeting was a real let down. It was very unimpressive their slide show. Big execs could only come up with that? I am really not impressed with the RSVPs. My loan officers could have come up with their meeting in 30 minutes. It took these people 8 months to bring “that” to us. Nothing has change but you have to evaluate and hire them but you can ask them to do anything.

    1. RSVP is a fluff position. Folks getting paid a ton of money to do very little. Doubt that level would be missed if it went away.

    2. The micro-managing from the top has become unbelievable. The branches now have Loan Administration providing a list of responsibilities instructing which branch employees should or shouldn't perform. We're talking about non-loan related duties like who can answer the phones and who can/cant open safe deposit boxes. And it sounds like the RSVPs and Cheif Delivery Officer are totally fine with this, which is very dissapointing. What is happening? It shows how out of touch and broken the management line of command has become. Branches just want the ability to help members who walk through their doors. The unnecessary micro-managing is just getting in the way of good member service.

    3. And to think that the RSVPs helped create this. What a joke

    4. Setting clear expectations and responsibilities is not micro managing, it’s just called managing.

    2. You got three days off for a one day meeting - stop complaining

    3. Thats false. Main meeting was all day Tuesday, and half a day today with the added on MLO meeting followed by a long drive home. Don’t know where you got three days off from…..much rather be in my office.

  8. or just "Do the Right Thing" ... it doesn't have to be complex, simple is better!

  9. So tell us! loan officers in the branches really? in every branch every day? reporting to the branch manager? not Raleigh? can and will pitch in if help needed elsewhere in branch? Great news if this is true
