The Incumbents Support Risk-Based Lending Which Often Overcharges Younger Members

* Source: CNBC News (2022)

One in five Americans (@ 20%) are penalized with higher loan rates or out right loan denials because they have no credit history.

The SECU members who most frequently have no credit history are younger people just starting out in life. Of course that makes sense, it takes a few years to get started - new job, new responsibilities, new obligations.

The 4 incumbents have fully supported classifying young members without a credit history as higher risk borrowers, placing them in the highest, worst loan rate tier ( "C"-paper). These younger members are being charged a substantial penalty rate just because they are young.

The 4 member nominated candidates - Jean Blaine, Susie Ford, Julian Hawes, Kirby Parrish - do not support this type of unfair discrimination in lending. They support innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. Lets send the incumbents and their kind of thinking packing!
