  4. SECU posted a video on Facebook and Instagram from Mona Moon talking about incumbents and their supposed stellar qualifications. The social media team at SECU turned off comments on the posts. This is a concerted effort to destroy the democratic process in our credit union.

Vote the 4 in 24. Take back our credit union and return it to the member-owners!

    5. No doubt! Current board members wants our branch network to disappear and to merge or go regional and leave the local NC communities behind. We need to jobs in these NC communities and we need to continue to build our branch network and continue to hire more employees. Hire more and keep building our relationship with NC communities. Absolutely no reason to go regional and destroy local job markets in NC. We need these jobs in North Carolina. We need a branch in every county.

    6. Can the Ncsecu for all page post this on their Facebook page for members to see? Members need to see this article

    7. Hire employees in every county including call center jobs. Spread the call centers throughout the state instead of just having them in the big cities. The branch/call center buildings in rural areas help increase job opportunities in local communities.

    8. 1252. It was like that before covid. We still have some hours away from their assigned cc. God forbidden they make them go back to an office that isn't near where they originally got the cc jobs

  6. I sure hope there's at least a few honest people left in the credit union movement. After reading Chip Filson's blog the past few weeks I'm starting to wonder. Seems like a lot of crooks parading around as credit union professionals and Board members.

  7. Secu has changed mortgages to make it more complicated to complete one not as much freedom to help the member. All in the name of selling mortgages. How would that benefit members? And if elected what are the views of the 4 member nominated on this issue?

    2. Did you notice they pushed through the ICE mortgage implementation despite having more late stage issues in testing than any other project I’ve ever been involved with moving to production in the past decade? Not sure if there’s someone getting a kickback off it and wanting to be sure it’s in before they’re shown the door or what. Putting that through now instead of pushing it back a month to get some kinks worked out makes zero sense otherwise.

    3. Yes, this is true. Mortgages have been outsourced, and SECU has been gearing up for years to start selling our mortgages to third parties. Sad

  10. This board was wheeling in the Trojan Horse (Gym) into SECU. How well did that work out for the citizens of Troy?

  11. Was there a count of the votes in the last election? I'm wondering the scale in comparison to what they are trying to pull with these ballots going out to 2.7 million members. Are there enough with their eyes opened to beat blind voting?

    1. Tell everyone you know. Family, Friends, neighbors. It is a grassroots effort. The incumbents have the entire $50 billion of your money at their disposal and don't seem suffer any qualms of conscience in using it. Ousted three incumbents last year, so there is hope! But it depends on all of us making certain members know and VOTE!

  15. Discriminate, exploit, humiliate and make us do it...this is criminal. We're taking the hit. The Board is too elite to get their hands dirty screwing members.
