Ms. Mona Moon, Chair
State Employees' Credit Union
119 North Salisbury Street
Raleigh, North Carolina 27601
Ref: 2025 SECU Annual Meeting
Dear Ms. Moon:
In
anticipation of the 2025 SECU Annual Meeting, would you please provide
or publish the approved SECU Board procedures for the presentation of several
substantive, member-supported resolutions in the notice of the 2025
Annual Meeting?
In compliance with "Rule 6"
of the SECU Board's 2024 annual meeting rules, several substantive motions will be submitted for consideration by - and for a vote of - the SECU
membership.
Would like to salute the "every member" voting procedures adopted by the SECU Board in
2024, which enable all SECU members to vote on candidates and issues. A
very positive precedent for maintaining the democratic principles at the core of SECU.
In
that a contested election is anticipated once again this year, the additional member voting opportunities on substantive issues should not add to the cost nor complexity of the voting process.
Please forward the approved policies and procedures requested at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jim Blaine, Member SECU

Don't you ever give up?
ReplyDeleteRarely.
Delete@ 10:42 - How or why would one want to give up on creating awareness for members surrounding their credit union? Despite those who may want to keep members in the dark, this blog shines light on the issues credit unions are facing and spurs important conversation and awareness.

What is the Administrator of Credit Unions doing about this issue?
ReplyDeleteSo what is the clearly defined goal of the credit union?
ReplyDeleteDoes the leadership even know?
I feel like we are always making it up as we go ...
profit? Badly run bank?
Delete9:03 if you don't know you shouldn't work here or be a member.
Delete@10:36 With this CEO and this Board the goals change depending on which way the wind is blowing. Nonexistant leadership and vision. @9:03 is right - they do make it up as they go - totally reactionary.
DeleteGoals? Goals are very clear! Hire your neighbors, friends and drinking buddies to the executive staff! Allow unworthy management to terrorize legacy hard working employees, fire and / or run them off to open spots for their buddies!
ReplyDelete9:09am Now let's stick to SECU and not go wandering off about the firefights going on outside N.C.! Okay?
DeleteSir as a 12 year SECU employee, I was just stating that there isn’t a clear goal other than allowing employees to be mistreated.
Delete11:26am Apologize... was meant only jokingly. We have a bit of turmoil everywhere in the world these dats...
