@8:44 I feel like her answer was carefully crafted so as to be technically true, but also avoid the question entirely. Sure, nothing has been presented to the commission yet. But something is in the works and she absolutely danced around saying that. Not lying, but also not telling the whole truth. Shady at best.
"My take away: this was a 100% scripted event to conduct a required legal activity with no substance or owner interaction wanted. And especially no live member involvement as in recent meetings." and "What is different now is that SECU sounds and looks like virtually every other large credit union. That’s neither good nor bad, unless you believe focusing on creating member value options not readily available elsewhere was the purpose of a coop." Pretty much sums up the current attitude.
Applauding extinction of the credit union as we know it for the sake of what? "For what good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?" Seemingly some people do not and cannot understand. All business and no heart. -c
For folks who have used the tactic of smoke and mirrors for years, outright lying isnt that far of a leap.
ReplyDeleteWhatever. No one is lying about anything.
Delete8:44am What would you say is the difference between lying and not telling the truth? Look forward to your thoughts on that question...

DeleteWhen you consider that unicorns go extinct, we need to applaud the board and Brady for having the courage to make difficult but right decisions.
Delete9:22 a.m. At least you seem to acknowledge that unicorns are real, might ponder why ideas like credit unions become extinct.

ReplyDeleteremember, it's all about the profits...
ReplyDeleteYou need a new line. We’re marginally profitable.
Deletenot my line ... last time I checked we were a non profit organization ... but maybe that has changed too ...
DeleteWe are. So how is it all about the profits when we have a low level of profits?
DeleteMaybe the new/new don't know what they are doing?
