✅ There are 5 candidates running for 3 seats. This year 4 of the candidates were originally member-nominated by petition. It has been very difficult breaking the standard, self-reannointing cycle of incumbents only.
😎 But progress is being made! Democracy works better when the membership has a choice.
✔ How to vote:
Absentee voting
Available September 9 – October 6, eligible members can cast your vote online through a secure member portal linked from our SECU website or you can vote via a mailed absentee paper ballot. Instructions are provided in the Notice of Annual Meeting. Be sure to read the instructions carefully to ensure paper ballots are received on time.
In-person voting
If you do not participate in absentee voting, you may vote in person during the Annual Meeting on October 13.

A vote was unnecessary last year as no one self nominated.
ReplyDeleteNo votes were taken last year and one of the losers in 2023 was re-elected! Board continues to work its magic along with the incredible 2% money market rate!
DeleteYep, and the ever so wise Board returned one of their former members who was voted OFF by the membership in 2023. Nice to know how in touch this current Board is with its members.
