What do you call a group of sharks?
A frenzy!
"When sharks are extremely active, especially during feeding, they are described as being in a frenzy. They become noisy, and this term captures the intense and chaotic nature of their feeding habits... often associated with the phrase “feeding frenzy.”
✔ A reader pointed out that the SECU member survey [profiled yesterday - link] can be reviewed without answering any questions or giving up your personal privacy rights.
So, I paged through it without answering any questions and would suggest strongly that you do so too... [link]. It will just take two minutes of your time
- There are 20 total questions ... most are inane, which seems to assume that the survey participants - you and me - are dolts.
- Only one question - the last one - actually asks the member for "your feedback about SECU and help guide us in how we can best serve you."
- Most of the questions are a flagrant attempt to identify your personal financial profile as an individual. Both inept and offensive... under the pretext of seeking "your feedback".
- But our credit union survey saves the best for last. There are 8 questions which ask for your zip code, gender, ethnicity, marital status, annual income. date of birth, rent/own housing status, and education level.
- Those last 8 questions are preceded by the following statement: "These last questions are for demographic purposes only. Your responses will be kept anonymous."
✔ If the answers "will be kept anonymous", why are the questions being asked at all? Obviously the answers to those very personal questions are not "anonymous" to someone!
😎 Please tell SECU members who is using this information and for what purpose. Or do you not trust us?
