    1. Probably promised them some sort of compensation, gift, gift card or 30% off with his personal development coach.

  3. I am totally impartial during all of this, and even I believe he has very poor leadership skills.

    1. Uh, hello! That's why he has been reading and having a "personal development" coach.

    1. It's possible that he's the Ted Lasso of CEOs.

On whether or Ted Lasso believes in ghosts: "I do. But more importantly, I think they need to believe in themselves. You know?"

  5. I think he forgets that “All Employees” is a group of educated, professional, individuals who have put in years of service and arguably the best group of talent in the state of North Carolina… you come off as very BENEATH them, with these silly, passive aggressive emails Mr. Hayes. Cmon, dont embarrass yourself man

    1. He embarrassed himself a long time ago.

    2. Hayes missed the mark and the Board should realize that; doesn't matter how many coaching or planning sessions they have he's not the leader SECU needs for now or the future.

  6. As long as the "gifts" continue he isn't going anywhere.

  7. He is an embarrassment…truly! He needs to look in his own mirror.

  8. "Don't make assumptions." Upon arrival at SECU, Hayes was offered support from the previous CEO and other Leaders of SECU for a smooth transition.
Hayes assumed he knew more than they did about SECU and shut down any suggestions or words of advice. Huge mistake, had he been willing to listen, he might not be failing so miserably now.

    1. Remember this: Hayes is the boards' puppet. He is implementing everything the board wants. Remember savings and loans in the 80s. NCSECU in the 2020s.

    2. Well then, the Board has to go and let's see how much damage we can cause for them in their careers. They certainly haven't cared about the damage being done to thousands of SECU employees just wanting to take of their members.

  9. Agree with first comment. I'm going to vomit...issue each staff member a bucket with the book!

  10. Ms. Haygood, sorry you're shaming the University system and all it stands for... this is disgraceful. YOU ARE DISGRACEFUL...no slack, you're endorsing this!

  11. If I read it, does it improve my credit score?

  12. SECU Employees have been and always will be Above the Line, that's their character. It is you Gym Haze and the pathetic Board who is far Below the Line, that's your character. Actions speak louder than words. We see what you have all done to our credit union. Enjoy your vacation on us, the member owners of SECU.

  13. I find this ‘stay above the line’ email very insulting. I feel horrible for the staff. The tone of this email implies no one has any integrity, loyalty, empathy and openness. That has never been my dealings with SECU employees.
