SECU: Keeping The Membership In The Dark... Once Again.

🌘 The Dark Side Of The Moon....

First "Election procedure changes" meeting [see link] today at 3:30 pm, but...

"Since these meetings are intended for the MABs [Member Advisory Boards] to learn about the proposed changes and provide input on behalf of members, they will not be open to others. "

"I appreciate your understanding,"

Mona

"... provide input on behalf of the members...".

How does that work, if the members don't know what's going on?

 ðŸŒ˜  Commemorative T-shirt now available!  🌘

... but can't tell you how to get one! It's a secret!

  1. Give it a chance. Our next AB meeting is in May. Will give us 2 months to hear from the members and report back.

    1. Agree! And the Spring Grassroots news letter goes out mid-April, so use that to inform members too.

    2. Only 2 months to inform 2 million members is a reach.

    3. Agree with 11:49 - 2 months is a reasonable time for us to gather input from local members.

    4. This WebEx ( recorded in its entirety) should be made available to members on SECU's website mmediately after the Webex is complete. Having to wait ANY amount of time to learn of these proposed changes is ridiculous!

    5. 2 months is fair

    6. And publish the survey you mentioned now too so we all can have a chance to respond directly

    7. So no. the Advisory Boards have zero time to talk to their friends and family about whatever they heard at the secret webex meetings. No time to get feedback. Board meeting coming up and will be posted if posted at all April 11. These arrogant power freaks do what they want, when they want.

    1. I pray about this. Seriously. I prayed Gym would leave. Now I'm praying Poor Leigh and her Fab 8 follow.

  7. What is the point of the MAB if not to listen and advise before expanding to the whole membershi?

  8. After the second meeting we'll have 6-8 weeks to talk to local members

    1. How will you do that? in the branch?

  9. Shouldn't the membership get all the information and be able to make an option without being told what to think?

    1. That’s how most corporations run. Small select few make the decisions meanwhile workers and membership in this case will suffer because of a few narcissistic individuals who want more and more money for themselves

  10. So how will the members find out about the changes?

    1. Probably exactly 180 in advance of the election after they’ve already been decided.

  11. These webex meetings are not about getting input. Simply announcements. Decisions must be made 180 days before annual meeting. Early April. Brady and The Moonies have already decided. It’s a done deal.
