SECU Spending Your Money to Save The Incumbents!!!

"We" manage your money as if it were our own!

Because "We" are SECU" - it's ours, not yours!

Evidently the SECU incumbent candidates ("the Perpetuals") are in trouble! Probably because members now realize those 4 incumbents are running on their record over the last three years:

* The injustice of RBL * $250 million in 2024 loan losses * 2% or less savings rates * soaring operating costs * service quality declines * erosion of trust with members and staff * the $5 billion loan and the $6 million man * and more!

Just when you thought "things can't get any worse"! The SECU Board has now begun spending the members' money - your money - willy-nilly to promote the incumbents on social media. No mention of course of the member-nominated candidates - Jean Blaine, Susie Ford, Julian Hawes, Kirby Parrish.

The SECU membership by nominating - Jean Blaine, Susie Ford, Julian Hawes, and Kirby Parrish -  has demanded an end to mismanagement, an end to $5 billion loans, $6 million CEOs, unprecedented quarter-billion $$$ yearly loan losses,  multi-million $$$ operational snafus and an end to the Board's latest: "You can't speak at our SECU Annual Meeting".

   Vote for the member-nominated candidates:

Restore fair rates, quality service, and respect for every member!!

Time to end the boastful "spin" and the wasteful "SPEND"!

  1. Lets not forget the millions spend on printing and mailing the incumbent leaning ballots.

There must be big money in volunteering for the SECU board or they wouldnt be so intent on keeping those positions.

  3. "If this effort [to save the incumbents] succeeds, what does that say about what SECU will be in the future? If this is how far they’re willing to go to keep control, no challenger will ever be able to compete. The Board will have unchecked power. In my opinion, they are already abusing that power in the name of their own agenda. What happens when they feel untouchable?"

They tell you you're not allowed to speak at the co-op you own ... Shut up and sit down, we're in charge now ... If you don't like it, we will cancel you as a member/owner and close your account!
If you don't think this can happen you have not been paying attention to what's been going on in the world...

  5. I was kinda on the fence till that advertisement stunt if they want to spend their own money to advertise for themselves fine but it said “paid for by secu” I’m don’t with the incumbents shows how far they will go to keep their seats even spending our money on candidates we didn’t nominate who took away our voices.

  6. What is the point of the incumbents pushing all this crap the members don’t want I thought they held volunteer positions? There must be some perk to it or why go through all the trouble they have gone through!

    2. I read this but it doesn’t give me any clear understanding about what our current incumbents have to gain by fighting tooth and nail

    2. Let us know if you find out but there has to be some benefit otherwise why would they be so set on fighting for their volunteer positions to push back against what the members that they are supposed to be working for.

  8. These board members don't care, They have no blood, sweat or tears in the company. They're just in it for the power (for now) ... and money? later on after they make all the necessary changes to achieve this goal. IMO

  9. How about investing money in your frontline staff? All this talk about our (now departed) $6M man, $5B loans, etc. yet us employees can’t even get a cost of living salary increase and a functioning printer! Educational bonuses have been stripped, retirement benefits have been purged, healthcare for retirees has been gutted.

    2. They shredded the IT dept with outside recruits and then lied about no updates to the system since 1987 or some such cockypop!
They had to get control of each and every dept ...

    3. In one our townhall meetings way back then bombastica's reply to cost of living pay increase was, you don't get a pay increase for cost of living going up; you get it for your work. Wonder what and how much he and his new cronies have contributed to justify their pay checks.
